Where do ibex, bears and bearded vultures live, and what did a battle look like more than 200 years ago? This family tour shows Innsbruck at its most exciting.
The Alpine Zoo at the foot of the Nordkette mountains shows animals that live or once lived in the Alps, from marmots and ibex to wolves and bearded vultures. Your guide turns the visit into an expedition with search cards and questions that the children answer themselves.
At the Tirol Panorama the giant circular painting awaits, a picture of about 1,000 square metres depicting the Battle of Bergisel in 1809. Children stand right in the middle of the action and hear who Andreas Hofer was and why he is still a hero in Tyrol.
The tour ends at the Golden Roof, where kids can try to count the gilded tiles. The tour is private and priced per group.
