2025 marks the 200th anniversary of the birth of Johann Strauss Sohn. Hardly anyone shaped the Viennese music scene of the 19th century as much as the Strauss dynasty, which included Johann Strauss son, his father and his two brothers Josef and Eduard. Their traces can still be seen and, above all, heard in Vienna today, and not only here, as they helped the Viennese waltz to achieve its enduring popularity worldwide.
We are therefore dedicating our World Day 2025 to these extraordinary musicians, all four of whom performed at the venue of our event: the former Casino Zögernitz (Döblinger Hauptstraße 76, 1190 Vienna), now the House of Strauss.
On February 23 from 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. there will be guided tours inside the museum as well as in the nearby Döbling District Museum, and we also offer two outdoor tours through the 19th district. ” Guided tours
You can also attend various lectures in the beautifully restored ballroom of the House of Strauss. ” Lectures
The “Inclusive World Day” will take place on February 21, also at the House of Strauss. This day is dedicated to inclusive cultural education with a program for deaf, visually impaired and blind people as well as those suffering from dementia. ” inclusive world day
