Lake Constance is one of Europe's most popular cycling regions. Starting in Bregenz, your guide combines lakeshore, history and nature in one ride.
From the lakeside promenade, with a view of the Bregenz Festival's floating stage, you ride west on flat shoreline paths. Your guide explains how Austria, Germany and Switzerland share the lake and why its borders have never been fully defined.
Along the way lies Mehrerau Abbey, whose history goes back to the 11th century and which is home to Cistercian monks today. If you like, you continue towards Hard and into the Rhine Delta, one of the most important bird reserves on the lake, where the Alpine Rhine flows into Lake Constance.
Bikes or e-bikes can be rented or arranged for you on request. The route is flat and suitable for families. The tour is private and priced per group.
