Along the river to Ambras Castle and the traces of the Games

Innsbruck lies on the Inn river, surrounded by mountains, and is perfect for exploring by bike. This tour combines nature, Renaissance splendour and sporting history.
From the riverbank, with views of the colourful houses of Mariahilf, you cycle downstream on the Inn cycle path. Your guide explains how the bridge over the Inn gave the city its name and why Innsbruck has been an important stop on the route across the Alps since the Middle Ages.
Next comes Ambras Castle, expanded in the 16th century by Archduke Ferdinand II to house his collections. His cabinet of art and curiosities is one of the oldest surviving of its kind. On the way back you pass the Olympiaworld and see the Bergisel ski jump, as Innsbruck hosted the Winter Olympics in 1964 and 1976.
Bikes or e-bikes can be rented or arranged for you on request. The tour is private and priced per group.
