How did a princely family live, and why did an orchestra play for them every day? On this hands-on family tour children experience Esterházy Palace.
Your guide takes the children to the court of the Esterházy princes. They find out who lived in the palace, what a court music director did and why Joseph Haydn composed for the family for many years. With little tasks and picture puzzles, children discover coats of arms, figures and musical instruments.
The palace park has room to run, ponds and old trees. Here your guide explains how baroque festivities were celebrated and what role music, dance and fireworks played. Anyone who likes can conduct a bar of Haydn's Farewell Symphony.
The tour is short, varied and planned with breaks. The tour is private and priced per group.
