Graz is a bike-friendly city with short distances and lots of green. This tour follows the Mur and links the old town, modern architecture and a baroque palace.
On the Mur cycle path you ride straight through the city, with the Schlossberg hill and its clock tower always in view. Your guide explains how the river has both divided and connected Graz and why the right bank was long considered the poorer side.
You stop at the Murinsel, a floating platform of steel and glass created in 2003 for the European Capital of Culture year. Right next to it stands the Kunsthaus, affectionately called the Friendly Alien. Through the Annenviertel and Lend districts you continue to Eggenberg Palace, which with its park is part of the city's UNESCO World Heritage.
Bikes or e-bikes can be rented or arranged for you on request. The route is mostly flat. The tour is private and priced per group.
