Heuriger Evening in Grinzing or Nussdorf
Vineyards, views and Gemischter Satz on the edge of the city

Vienna is one of very few capitals with its own vineyards. This evening introduces you to the beloved Heuriger wine tavern culture.
On the outskirts of Vienna the vineyards begin, and with them the world of the Heuriger: taverns where winemakers serve their own wine. Your guide explains why a bundle of pine twigs hangs above the door, what a Gemischter Satz field blend is and how the buffet with spreads, roast meats and Liptauer works.
Before heading to the tavern, we can visit the Kahlenberg on request. From here you look out over the whole city to the Danube and hear about the hill's role in the liberation of Vienna in 1683.
The evening ends at the Heuriger, with live music where available. We plan the trip by public transport or private vehicle with you. The tour is private and priced per group.
