The port of Linz is home to Mural Harbor, one of Europe's largest graffiti galleries. This private tour shows huge murals by international artists and explains how Linz became a city of contemporary art.

Since 2012 street artists from around the world have painted the facades of warehouses, silos and industrial buildings in the harbor. There are now well over a hundred large works, and new ones keep appearing.

Your guide explains techniques, styles and backgrounds, from classic graffiti lettering to photorealistic portraits. You learn how the works are created and why an industrial port is the ideal canvas.

Mural Harbor fits the transformation of Linz from steel town to UNESCO City of Media Arts. On request the tour adds a boat ride through the harbor basin, where many murals look even better. Photographers will find unusual angles everywhere.
