This private tour shows you Mörbisch on Lake Neusiedl with its white courtyard lanes, its winemaking tradition and the lake stage of its summer festival. You visit a village on the Hungarian border that became famous for operetta.
Mörbisch is known for its narrow courtyard lanes, lined with whitewashed houses with arcades, corn cobs and flowers. The layout of the farmsteads goes back to a time when winemaking and farming went hand in hand.
Since 1957 operettas have been performed every summer on the Mörbisch lake stage, with the lake as backdrop. Your guide tells you about this tradition, about local wine and about life right on the border, which was the Iron Curtain until 1989, and shows you the prettiest corners of the village.
This is a private tour: just your own group, your pace and plenty of time for questions. Our licensed guides are happy to adjust the focus to your interests before the day.
