Vienna Schönbrunn: Palace and Gardens

The Habsburgs' summer residence with your own guide

Vienna Schönbrunn: Palace and Gardens
Duration
2.5 hours
Languages
German, English

Schönbrunn Palace is Austria's most visited sight and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1996. With your private guide you explore the state rooms and the gardens at your own pace, without an audio guide and with the stories behind them.

We start in the palace gardens, where Maria Theresa spent her summers: the courtyard, the Privy Garden, the Great Parterre and the Neptune Fountain with the view up to the Gloriette.

Then you enter the state rooms in a reserved time slot: the Great Gallery, the Ceremonial Hall, the Mirror Room where young Mozart played, and Emperor Franz Joseph's study. Your guide tells you about court ceremony and family life, about Sisi, who never quite felt at home here, and about an emperor who sat at his desk at five in the morning.

On request you extend to the Grand Tour with 40 rooms, visit Schönbrunn Zoo or combine the day with Vienna's old town.
