Naschmarkt and Viennese Cuisine
From market stall to schnitzel, a food walk through the city

Viennese cuisine mirrors the old monarchy, with influences from Bohemia, Hungary and Italy. Your guide shows you where to taste it best today.
The Naschmarkt has been Vienna's belly for centuries. Spices, fruit, cheese, pickles and specialities from all over the world sit side by side. Your guide explains what is typically Viennese and helps you taste and shop like a local.
Then come the classics: a sausage from a street stand, a bite of schnitzel and a traditional pastry. You will learn why a true Wiener Schnitzel must be veal, what boiled beef has to do with the emperor and how many kinds of strudel there are.
We choose the stops according to the season and your tastes, and vegetarian wishes are welcome. The market is closed on Sundays. The tour is private and priced per group.
